WHAT ARE PSYCHOMETRIC ASSESSMENTS?​

Psychometric assessments are an evaluative activity aimed at measuring an individuals’ mental ability, behavioural style and interests by using systematic and scientific methods (through psychological measures). Additional sources are leveraged in the psychological assessment to create a holistic view that is well rounded. An individual can never have a 100% fit with a specific career field. Although, critical elements of the individual can be assessed psychologically and provide, with a relative degree of confidence, an indication of the individuals’ fit to the position.  Psychometric assessments utilised are accredited with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), and administered by an appropriately registered professional (i.e. Industrial Psychologist or Psychometrist). ​
